Privacy Policy

Last updated:

  • No email address required
  • No connection logs
  • Account deletion on request

In short: signing up takes only a username and password, with no email address required. While you are connected, VPNVan does not record which websites you visit and keeps no connection logs. Payment details are collected and handled by the payment provider on its own pages; VPNVan never receives card numbers or account details.

1. Scope

This policy covers the cross-border network acceleration subscription service provided by VPNVan, including the information pages on this website, the user panel (sign-in, plans, subscription, tickets), and the data processing involved in the Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux clients.

Third-party payment providers, operating system app stores, and any other software you install yourself follow their own privacy rules and are not covered by this policy.

2. Data we collect and how it is used

Account data. Signing up requires only a username and password; no email address is needed. Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes, never in plain text. The username is used to identify you at sign-in and to match support tickets.

Order data. Plan tier and data add-ons, order amount, payment method, activation date, and traffic reset day. This is used to deliver the subscription, reset monthly traffic on the activation date, prorate mid-cycle upgrades, and process refund requests.

Visit statistics. Aggregated data such as page views, referral source, and device type, used to work out which guides need expanding and which pages are hard to use on narrow screens. Results are reviewed in aggregate form only.

3. Logging policy: no record of the sites you visit

VPNVan does not record which websites you visit or which services you connect to while using the service, and keeps no connection logs that link source addresses to destinations.

Traffic accounting covers totals only: data used, data remaining, and the reset date, used for billing and plan reminders. It has nothing to do with what you access.

Ticket content you submit yourself (written descriptions, screenshots) is stored with the ticket, limited to that ticket, and used only to diagnose and reproduce the issue.

4. Cookies and local storage

Cookies. This site uses essential cookies only, to keep you signed in and to count page views. Advertising and cross-site tracking cookies are not used here.

Local storage. Your sign-in token and language preference are kept in your browser's local storage, so you do not have to sign in again and the site remembers your last language choice. Both stop working once you sign out or clear your browser data.

5. Payments and third-party processing

Payment is completed through Alipay, WeChat, and USDT. Payment accounts, bank cards, and identity details are collected and processed by the payment provider on its own pages; VPNVan does not receive or store them.

What VPNVan receives is the payment result returned by the provider: order number, amount, payment status, and payment time, used to activate the subscription and reconcile accounts. Refunds are issued to the provider against the original order number, so order records have to be kept for a period after an account is closed.

6. Data retention, deletion, and policy updates

Retention periods. Account data is kept while the account remains active. Order and payment records are kept until the period needed for refunds and reconciliation ends, then deleted or anonymized.

How to delete your data. Open a ticket in the user panel to request account closure. Once the account is closed, the subscription stops working immediately and account data is no longer used for any purpose; completed order records are kept for the period described above because of reconciliation and record-keeping requirements.

Policy updates. When this policy is revised, the "Last updated" month at the top of the page is changed. Material changes to what data is collected or how it is used are announced in the user panel. Continuing to use the service after a revision means you accept the updated policy.

Contact. If you have questions about how your data is handled, open a ticket in the user panel; billing and refund rules are set out in the Refund Policy and the Terms of Use.
